It was summer. Maybe it will be the ever hottest summer we have faced. With our every guest at home, we talk about hot weather and share a glass of juice. We share advice to have plenty of water, fruit, not to go out at day time, not to wear a black dress etc. These topics were in the titles of the media too. We the people with ceiling fans dream of buying an AC, some for a fan, some pray to get electricity and some others for a shelter. Summer is just in the words of the rich and the sweat of the poor. Do the people with a centralized AC house, AC car, and AC office know what summer really is?? While some were rushing to buy sunscreen lotions and sweat-proof make up products, some others-can hardly buy a soap to take a bath. Some won’t even get pure water for thirst. This dizzying temperature killed many, water shortages, dehydration, heat stroke, scorched crops and animals succumbing to thirst. This won’t affect the richer ones for sure. While our children celebrate summer vacation on foreign trips, there are kids who miss school as they won’t get free lunch from government schools. Let’s ask to the street vendors, building workers and the humanity without good shelter, what the real summer is…
It’s going to rain soon. The great work of God. The farmer gets free irrigation, the artist gets greater imagination, and the poet gets true inspiration from it. Magical rain can diffuse happiness in us. Some call it a disaster and others fine love with it. That’s the time to shop for brand new, colored, multiple folded umbrellas, water-proof bags, shoes and makeup products. Yes, we love having hot and spicy snacks while it rains and a cool car ride. Also, we have branded soft blankets, rugs and beds to sleep on rainy chill nights. Do we need to think about people who shiver in the cold while it rains? Do we need to think about street vendors who miss their sales on rainy days? Or do we need to think about humanity who cook with firewood, or flooded areas in slums? Doubtless NO. Let’s continue talking a lot about the hottest summer, chilling rain and maintain harmony. :)‘We'll live and love within our walls. Happily we'll live and love. No no care at all.’
